Inmate Testimonies...

"I wish to share all the Lord has showed me and how He has changed my heart and life.  I say this with tears in my eyes because of the love I have for the Lord.  Without Him I would have no hope.  He is my light and He has given me joy and peace at a time I was like Joseph in the pit.  He has opened my mind and heart to do His will not my own.  I know the Lord and I feel His spirit over me as I write this.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that Bible, it has been a weapon to help me overcome death.  Thank you Dennis , the Lord has plans for me and has saved me from the mouth of the lion.  He's not done with me and I've been telling everyone how He has changed my life."  Rivas - Beto Unit

"I just want to thank you all for leading my wife and I to Christ, your staff is wonderful.  My wife and I were baptized the same night and in the same water after completing our Spiritual Fitness.  I want to personally thank each and every one of you and commend you for the compassion and work you do for the Lord, as well as us.  Even if you only brought one should, one truly lost soul to Christ, it would be worth it!  We look forward to seeing you and your staff every week, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity to fellowship.  Thank you for the hard work, dedication, sincerity, and love.  Also, thank you for the programs, the Christmas presents for our children, and for the baptism opportunity.  God bless you all!"

"My name is Manuel and I am 27.  I have a 25 year sentence and I am from San Angelo - born and raised.  The reason I am writing today is because I keep being lead to do so.  You see, when I was in the County you gave me a Bible and little did I know that Bible would lead to something great.  I still have the Bible, the only difference is now it is covered with notes and underline verses.  I have fallen deeply in love with the Lord's words, I can't even explain it.  It seems as though when everything in this world was gone He came closer.  He is my everything.....I live to serve Him.  Something happened to the old me, that person no longer exists - it's a miracle in itself.  I now have a purpose in life and that is to follow my Father wherever He may take me.  I will go wherever He takes me to tell others how glorious He is.  I come up for parole in 2019 and will be returning to San Angelo.  I can't wait to go share the news every day, study, and practice  to be a better servant of the Lord.  Currently, I lead several classes on addiction for young Christians and other men.  I really feel lead to help young believers grow and mature spiritually. I'm trying to equip and empower the new believers to develop their full potential for the Kingdom, as well as the King.  I once fell into the temptations John lists in 1 John 2:16.  I give all the glory and honor to the Father."  Manuel - Beto Unit

"So today at church I always enjoy the praise and worship at the beginning, that's my favorite part of church.  I enjoy all of church cause I learn, but when we praise it puts this "Koolaid" smile on my face and I feel his presents.  On the 3rd song I, I don't know why, I just start balling.  It's like a happy kind, but I can't smile, I'm singing and thanking Him and just crying.  I guess it's because He's showing Himself to me, but He always has, but I'm getting closer to Him because I'm listening to Him.  I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I'm trying and He is doing more in my life because I'm trying." Jonathan, Wallace Unit

"Thank you for your prayers and guidance.  These Bible studies have been a blessing in my life.  I feel the Holy Spirit taking over my life and helping me truly change my life.  Putting the past behind me, where it belongs, and driving me into the future.  The are teaching me to truly live for Christ and giving me a better understanding of "true love!"  Javier, Byrd Unit

"I was given a Bible with your stamp in it from a fellow inmate.  I gave this "new" Bible a chance.  All I can say is that I can't put it down.  In one month of reading the Scriptures, my life has changed dramatically.  I have surrendered all to God, and the Holy Spirit has made a great impact in me.  None of this would have been possible if I had not been presented with a Bible I could understand."  Arturo, TDCJ-ID, Gatesville, TX

"I was baptized at 16 years of age, now 34 I'm the closest to God that I've ever been!  I want to thank you and my Christian family for it all.  God is Good!  I have renewed my relationship with Christ and connected once again with the Holy Spirit inside me!  Your Bible studies have refreshed my soul, what a wonderful feeling.  I pray that God continues to bless the lost, the world over, with a close Christian to show them the way.  God loves you and so do I!  Again, thank you!"  -BL

"I've been locked up since 11/3/10...since being away in prison loved ones and friends have steadily fallen off...like I've passed away over time.  I have no anger or hate towards them because I put myself in this place.  No matter what, I'm sure to get something from y'all every month.  It's not a letter, but it's something to show that I'm not forgotten.  So thank you for the blessing y'all are doing for the forgotten ones.  Life is a blessing and no one should forget that..please take care and keep the blessings and prayers coming.

"Most sacred heart of Jesus, who for love of me did carry my cross gently on the path to Calvary, Grant that I may suffer so as to live in Heaven with Him"  -GP

"Words can't explain what my heart feels this very moment after receiving my study here at the unit I'm currently housed at.  I guess what I really want to say is Thank You for finding me and getting my next study to me.  When I read the comment at the end of my study it touched my heart.  I couldn't hold back the tears after reading those words "WE FOUND YOU"  God is so wonderful and I thank Him for people like you guys in the ministry. It has been a blessing to have friends like y'all and it's been a blessing to receive my study.  But above all, it's been a lovable feeling to just see those words "WE FOUND YOU."  Thank you very much!  -AM

"Did the Sheriff’s Department save my life? YES! In God We Trust.  Seeing the Sheriff’s Department [vehicles with the] inscription our country was based on, helps me to believe the voice of someone is being heard while I am behind bars.

Thank God for my brothers and sisters behind the badge. Because of their belief in us as a community, we have a chance to have and hold on to the love and unity through the body and face of Christ in our hearts.

The Word says ‘by His grace we are set free for the Son, we are born into His family’ I love you guys, so I will hold on and pray. God bless you all and Thank you all so much for your time, dedication, and your voice. In God We Trust!!”

“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.”  Zephaniah 3:17  -AG
